Baseball Spring Season 2024
Thank you for registering for the Spring 2024 season at NESALL. By registering for the Spring season, you are on your way to promoting a healthy lifestyle for your child.

All managers, nominated by the League President and approved by the league’s Board of Directors for the current season, must attend the tryout so they can assess/grade players.  

Tryouts are for all players league age 5 and up (only 5 and 6 year-olds with at least one season experience are required to try out) will be held January 13, 2024. You can confirm your child's league age by using the Little League Age Calculator or http://www.littleleague.org/leagueofficers/Determine_League_Age/League_Age_Calculator.htm. All 5 and 6 year-olds with one season of Tee Ball experience are required to complete a try out for team assignments to a coach pitch/machine pitch division.

All players league age 7 and up must attend tryouts to be evaluated for the upcoming draft or they will not be able to pitch nor qualify to play on an All Star team. The evaluations should not take no more than ten minutes per player once they are on the field.

All players should come with proper equipment for try outs (cleats or athletic shoes, baseball or other athletic pants, an athletic shirt, baseball hat (optional) helmet, glove, bat and cup).

Limited Helmets and bats will be provided in the instance you do not have one. 

Players will be evaluated on:
(1) Batting/bunting
(2) Fielding fly balls
(3) Fielding ground balls
(4) Throwing
(5) Running bases.

Each skill will be graded on a 1-5 scale. A total of score of 25 points is the highest rating a candidate could receive.

Tee Ball Teams will be assembled by a “Blind Draft.” All Tee Ball players names will be put into a hat by age and names will be drawn until all league age 4 5, and 6 players (who have NOT previously played) are selected. 

Coach Pitch teams will be assembled by Player Agents based on Tryout scores. Teams will then be assigned to managers. 

Single A through Majors teams will be selected by a Conventional Draft method. If approved by the board, Majors teams will keep returning members.

Juniors teams will be selected by a Conventional Draft method.

To complete your registration, you will be required to email or bring in person the following documents:

1.  Copy of original birth certificate. 
2.  Three (3) proofs of residency (one from each group below). Each of these must show a parent’s name, the home address of the player, and be dated between February 01, 2023 and February 01, 2024
Acceptable documents are:   

GROUP ONE 1. Driver’s License 2. School records 3. Vehicle records (i.e. registration, lease, etc.) 4. Employment records 5. Insurance documents

GROUP TWO 1. Welfare/child care records 2. Federal records (Federal Tax, Social Security, etc.) 3. State records 4. Local (municipal) records 5. Support payment records 6. Homeowner or tenant records 7. Military records

GROUP THREE 1. Voter’s Registration 2. Utility bills (i.e., gas, electric, water/ sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal) 3. Financial records (i.e. loan, credit, investments, etc.) 4. Medical records 5. Internet, cable, or satellite records

Any documents submitted as proof of residence mush show customary usage or consumption to demonstrate bona fide continuous habitation as determined by Little League Baseball, Incorporated, in its discretion. Players and their parents/guardians are advised that a false statement of residence may lead to ineligibility to play Little League Baseball.

Players who have previously certified for All Stars at NESALL are exempt from these requirements. Players who reside outside of NESALL boundaries, however attend school within the boundaries will need to bring in proof of registration at the school through which you claim eligibility. Players living outside boundaries will still need to submit proof of address and complete an additional form at the league.
