Junior Rangers Win District 30 Junior Tournament

Congratulations goes out to the NE Rangers who defeated the OR Beavers 15 - 12 in an exciting championship game last Sunday. The game started off with a 6 - 2 score in favor of the OR Beavers after 1 inning. The NE Rangers proceeded to score in all innings except one. The game ended with the tying run on base in the bottom of the 7th inning. The OR Beavers were highlighted by Jordan Schmidt who went 2 for 2 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored. Keion Craig who went 2 for 3 with a triple, single and on base by error with 3 rbi's as well as a stolen base. Joseph Espinosa scored 2 runs while getting on base by a walk and hit batter and Kyle Schorr who went 2 for 3. The NE Rangers were highlighted by Tony Munoz who went 0 for 2 with a fielders choice, 2 walks, 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases. Jesse Barajas who went 2 for 4 with 2 triples and 2 rbi's. Damien Maldonado, 3 for 3 with a hit batter and a stolen base and one run scored. Armani Aranda who reached base 3 times, scored 2 runs and had 3 stolen bases. Raul Bravo who went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and one run scored as well as an rbi and Alex Anzo added a 3 run blast in the 5th. There were several defensive plays made that had they snuck thru as hits the score could have gone either way. This is Northeast's second Junior Championship in the last 3 years.
